Weebly Professional plan $20/mo, month to month
The cheapest plan with your own domain and no Square ads.
$95/month
$0 to build. No contract. Cancel anytime.
Yes, it’s my comparison, so every Weebly fact links to where it comes from. Checked .
Weebly’s Professional plan, its cheapest without Square ads on your site, next to my one plan.
| What you’re comparing | | Done for you |
|---|---|---|
Price What the monthly bill says | $20 a month, billed month to month. | $95 USD a month, billed monthly. One plan. |
Building the site Pages, layout, photos | You pick a theme, add the pages, photos and SEO fields, then publish. YYou | I research your business and build it. No questionnaire. You review before launch. |
Writing the words Headlines, pages, calls to action | You write it. YYou | Included. I write the pages, you approve them. |
Changes after launch New photo, new price, new page | You make them in the editor, whenever you like. Nothing goes live until you click Publish. YYou | Included. Routine edits have a 72-hour target. You can edit blog posts and FAQs yourself. |
Who you talk to When you need something | Chat and email on every plan, phone from Personal up, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Pacific. | Patrick, directly, by phone, text or email. No call center. |
SEO Getting found on Google | The tools are there: page titles, meta descriptions, 301 redirects and an automatic sitemap. You fill them in. YYou | On-page SEO is included and done for you. Ongoing local SEO is a separate $995/month service. |
Hosting Keeping the site online | Included, with free SSL. | Included in the monthly price. |
If you leave What you walk away with | A ZIP archive that isn’t a working site. Blog and store pages aren’t in it. Store items and form entries export to spreadsheets. | Every file of the website, and help moving it. It’s custom-coded, so later changes need a developer. |
Online store Selling products on the site | A shopping cart on every plan, even the free one. | Yes, I build online stores. They’re quoted separately, not part of the $95 plan. |
Where it’s heading The platform’s future | Square has no plans to discontinue Weebly, but encourages new sites on Square Online. | Not tied to any builder. You get the site’s files, and they run anywhere. |
I built client sites on Weebly for years before moving them off it (here’s why I left), so I’ve been on both sides of this one.
Weebly Professional is $20 a month, billed month to month. My plan is $95 a month. If you only count cash, Weebly wins, and it isn’t close.
What the Weebly price doesn’t include is anyone doing the work. You choose the theme, write every page, fill in the SEO fields and remember to click Publish. Some owners enjoy that. If you’d rather spend those hours on your business, that’s what my price pays for.
$20 a month, and you do the work.
$95 a month, and I do the work.
Square bought Weebly in 2018. Today Square says it has “no plans to discontinue the Weebly website builder at this time”, and in the same breath encourages you to build new sites with Square Online “for the best support experience and the most up-to-date features.”
Weebly owners are asked to replace their Weebly login with a Square account. The Weebly mobile app can’t be downloaded anymore. And Weebly is winding down in 67 countries in 2026, though the US, UK, Canada and Australia aren’t on that list.
None of that means your US site stops working. It means its owner is steering new customers elsewhere, which is worth knowing before you spend another weekend on it.
Still supported, while new sites are steered to Square Online.
Plain files that don’t depend on any builder’s roadmap.
Weebly can rank. It has page titles, meta descriptions, custom page addresses, 301 redirects and an automatic sitemap. I wrote a whole guide to Weebly SEO back when I built on it.
The catch is that every field is yours to fill in, page by page, and keep up to date. On my plan, on-page SEO is done for you at launch and on every new page after that.
Good SEO tools, and you fill in every field.
On-page SEO done for you, on every page.
Weebly’s site archive is a backup, not a working site: it can’t be imported anywhere, blog and store pages aren’t in it, and forms and slideshows “may not work correctly” outside Weebly. Store items, orders and form entries do export to spreadsheets. Blog posts get copied over by hand.
So whoever you move to, the site gets rebuilt. What matters is keeping what Google already knows. Weebly page addresses end in .html, and each one needs a permanent redirect to its new address. That redirect map is part of every switch I do.
A backup ZIP. Blog and store pages stay behind.
Every old page redirected to its new address.
If you sell products, Weebly makes it cheap to start: every plan includes a shopping cart, and inventory syncs with Square if you use it in a shop. I build online stores too, custom to your products, but they’re quoted separately, not part of the $95 plan.
For service businesses it tilts the other way. Weebly has a built-in contact form, and its help center points to third-party apps for booking. My plan includes custom lead forms, online booking and CRM connections.
A basic cart on every plan, set up by you.
Leads and bookings built in. Stores quoted separately.
Weebly is cheaper in cash, so here are the real numbers, with your time counted separately.
| Cost | | |
|---|---|---|
Plan Every month | $20 a month, month to month | $95 a month |
Design, writing and edits The work itself | Your time, or whatever you pay someone to help | Included |
Domain yourname.com | Free for year one only on a yearly plan, so on monthly billing you pay for it. | You keep the domain you have, at whatever you pay for it now |
Business email you@yourname.com | Not listed in the plan. Google email is sold separately. | Not in the plan. Your current email stays where it is. |
Who does each job, week to week.
| The job | | |
|---|---|---|
Building or redesigning | In the Weebly editor YYou | I build it, you review it |
Writing the pages | Every headline and page YYou | I write them, you approve them |
Changes after launch | Edit, then Publish YYou | Text or email me. Blog posts and FAQs you can edit yourself. |
SEO fields and redirects | Page by page YYou | Done for you |
Platform changes | Like moving your login to a Square account YYou | Mine to handle |
Every platform gets complaints. These three come up again and again in public reviews and on Square’s own community forum, each linked to where it comes from, with Weebly’s side where it has one.
Owners on the Square Community say form notifications stopped reaching their inbox while the entries still showed in the dashboard, and reviewers describe contact forms that don’t work or stay glitchy. Square’s side: a moderator said some contact form messages went to spam from August to December 2025, and that engineers fixed it on January 2, 2026. Weebly’s help center says entries can also be read and exported from the dashboard.
“the primary purpose of a website is to facilitate contact with potential customers!”
Before you sign up: Send a test message through your form every month, and check Form Entries in the dashboard, not only your inbox.
Reviewers describe copy-and-paste email replies and no way through by phone, two weeks without a fix for a domain connection, and no way to contact support without logging in. Weebly’s side: chat and email come with every plan and phone with higher plans, every day from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Pacific, and help starts from inside your account, which Weebly says helps it verify you.
“I got a few “copy and paste” suggestions and no further communication.”
Before you sign up: Make sure you can log in, and know which email your account uses, before you need help. Weebly’s contact page links a recovery form if you can’t.
Longtime owners say they can’t edit from their phone anymore, that features were removed from the editor, and that the templates haven’t changed in years. Weebly confirms the mobile app can’t be downloaded anymore, while Square says it has no plans to discontinue the builder.
“As a small business owner I used to love the ability to change things from my phone quickly. That is all gone since they sold.”
Before you sign up: List the features you use every week, and confirm each one still works on your plan and on the device you edit from.
RWL took our existing Weebly website and built us a new site in a matter of days, our search engine ranking has improved in a matter of weeks and we're very happy with Patrick's services.
Chris Broomfield Co-Owner of Post Press Systems · Google review The goal: nobody who finds you today hits a dead end tomorrow. Here’s the order I do it in.
Before touching anything, I look at which pages bring in your visitors and leads. With your Search Console access, I protect those first.
Download the site archive as a backup and export your form entries, store items and orders. Blog posts don’t export, so I copy them over by hand.
You don’t have to transfer your domain. If Weebly registered it, you can leave it there and point it at the new site. To move it, Weebly gives you a transfer code, though not within 60 days of registering.
If your business email came through Weebly, it depends on DNS records Weebly set up. I copy every record before anything changes, so mail keeps arriving.
Each old .html address gets a permanent (301) redirect to its new page, and your business name, address and phone stay exactly the same.
Contact forms are rebuilt and tested end to end, and bookings move to the plan’s built-in calendar booking. A store gets its own quote.
You review the new site before it goes live. Once it’s live and the forms, email and redirects check out, you cancel Weebly. Don’t cancel the service that holds your domain until the domain is sorted.
No build fee, no contract, no upsells. Here’s every feature the monthly price covers.
One plan, because you should not have to study a comparison table to buy a website. Every feature below is included from day one.
$95/month
$0 to build. No contract. Cancel anytime.
Your website is yours from day one.
Imagine what you could accomplish with more than just a Home, About and Contact page.
Hand-coded and served from data centers around the world, not a page builder dragging its own weight around. Fast on any phone, on any connection.
No junky stock photos or cookie cutter icons here.
Great copywriting is the difference between a website that sells and one that doesn't.
Essentially this means making it as easy as possible for Google and AI to find you.
Forms that actually convert visitors into leads.
Plain, simple, straightforward, valuable analytics anyone can read.
Local SEO requires hyper-local intent targeting. Almost every service-based business needs this!
Blogs are awesome if they are used authentically. The age of purely info-based content is over.
We can integrate your social media content directly into your website. Strategically, of course. We don't want visitors getting distracted!
Automatically add new reviews from review platforms (Google, Yelp, etc) directly into your website.
Let visitors book meetings, sessions and appointments directly through your site.
Email newsletters help turn your visitors into subscribers.
Your Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions are generated by a specialist legal-policy service and update automatically as privacy laws change. Included, with nothing for you to maintain.
We connect your forms to the CRM you already use: HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho and most other software that connects with outside apps. A custom system gets its own scope.
Automations that send each new lead to the right person, log it in your spreadsheets and handle the follow-up.
Not all hosting is created equal. If you want the Taco Bell of web hosting, Bluehost is waiting for you.
Changes to hours, photos, text and services are included. Routine edits have a 72-hour target; larger requests get an agreed scope and completion date.
No call centers, no offshoring, just your friendly neighborhood Patrick. Based in North America, native English speaker, and fluent in Spanish if that is easier for you.
Not in the US, as of September 25, 2026. Square says it has no plans to discontinue the Weebly builder, while encouraging new sites on Square Online. It is shutting Weebly down in 67 other countries in 2026.
Not as a working copy. Weebly’s archive can’t be imported anywhere as a live site, and it leaves out blog and store pages. I rebuild the site, reuse your text and photos, and redirect every old page.
Nobody can promise rankings won’t move at all. What protects them: every old .html page gets a permanent (301) redirect, your business name, address and phone stay identical, and I submit the new sitemap and watch Search Console after launch.
No. You can keep the domain registered at Weebly and point it at the new site. Transferring it is optional.
I can rebuild it. I build online stores, custom to your products, and they’re quoted separately from the $95 plan. Tell me what you sell and I’ll give you a price before anything starts.
The simple things, yes. You can edit blog posts and FAQs yourself. New pages, layout and design changes, you send to me by text or email, and they’re included.
In cash, yes. Weebly Professional is $20 a month. The difference pays for someone else doing the design, writing, SEO and changes. If you enjoy doing those yourself, Weebly is the better deal.
