Plastic surgery website design that converts more consultations

Plastic surgery patients are terrified of choosing the wrong surgeon. Without extensive before/after galleries, detailed credentials, and clear pricing information, they're consulting with surgeons who provide transparency.

Keys to Success

What your plastic surgery website needs

Your plastic surgery website must showcase results and convert consultations while maintaining patient privacy and professionalism. Here are the 6 essential features that book your surgical calendar:

Procedure gallery by surgery type

Organize before/after photos by breast augmentation, rhinoplasty, tummy tucks, and facelifts.

Virtual consultation booking

Let prospects schedule video consultations to discuss procedures, see the facility, and ask questions.

Surgeon credentials and specialization

Display your board certification, training, years of experience, and specific procedure expertise.

Procedure cost estimator

Help patients understand typical price ranges for surgeries with financing and payment plan options.

Patient testimonials with photos

Pair reviews with actual results (with consent) to show satisfaction and surgical outcomes.

Recovery timeline by procedure

Set expectations with detailed recovery guides showing what to expect week-by-week after surgery.

Original 2026 data

The state of plastic surgeon websites in 2026

I sampled 2,235 plastic surgery practices across 23 cities, then audited the 1,812 websites among them. Here is where the score comes from, what those sites run on, and where the points are going.

78/100

Grade C, tied 1st of 47 industries I audited

Mobile speed

Where the points went

The score is ten weighted checks, ranked here by what each one costs. The biggest single loss is page speed, at 6.1 of its 15 points. Longer bar, more points left on the table.

  • Page speed 6.1 lost of 15
  • Publishes a blog 4.5 lost of 10
  • Mobile-friendly 3.3 lost of 15
  • Links a social profile 2.3 lost of 10
  • Schema markup 2.3 lost of 10
  • Analytics installed 1.4 lost of 5
  • Google reviews 1.0 lost of 15
  • Meta description 0.7 lost of 5
  • HTTPS 0.3 lost of 10
  • Title tag 0.1 lost of 5

22 points of 100 left on the table. Track length is the check's weight, so a five-point check can never cost what a fifteen-point one does. Each check is averaged across the 23 markets, the same way the score itself is built, so these ten bars add back to the 78 above. The table at the foot of this section pools by sample size instead, which answers a different question and lands a little differently. Weights are on the methodology page.

Independents against the chains

I can tell a franchise or chain location from an independent, so here are both, on the checks where they split hardest. The widest gap is social profile links: 78% of independents against 92% of chains.

  • Independents (1,400 sites)
  • Chains and franchises (412 sites)
  • Links a social profile 78% vs 92%
  • Has an H1 80% vs 91%
  • Has sharing tags 82% vs 92%
  • Publishes a blog 58% vs 64%
  • Uses schema markup 81% vs 85%
  • Loads over HTTPS 96% vs 99%

Scale runs 0 to 100%. Only the checks where both groups were measured the same way are comparable, so speed and the meta checks sit this one out.

What these sites are built on

The platform behind each of the 1,812 homepages I audited, where I could identify one.

  • WordPress 53.4%
  • Squarespace 5.0%
  • Wix 3.5%
  • Shopify 2.6%
  • Webflow 2.4%
  • GoDaddy 2.2%

A platform was identified on 78% of audited sites. The rest are hand-built or run something the fingerprinting misses, and a site can match more than one, so these do not sum to 100%.

How I counted

Every rate above has its own denominator. This is where they come from, out of the 3,043 businesses in this trade in my listings census.

  1. Businesses sampled 2,235 100%
  2. Had a website 2,061 92%
  3. Homepage audited 1,812 81%
  4. Speed-tested 1,450 65%

Of the sites that never made it into the audit, 120 would not load, 125 blocked me, and 4 turned out to be a social profile rather than a website. 412 of the businesses sampled are chain or franchise locations. Full method on the methodology page.

What We Do

Watch: how to design an effective plastic surgery website

Cosmetic surgery is one of the most researched purchases a person makes. Patrick covers the design and content decisions that build trust, showcase results, and earn the consultation.

Why Us

Why plastic surgeons choose RapidWebLaunch to attract consultation-ready patients

Cosmetic surgery is one of the most researched purchases a person makes. Here is how we make sure your practice shows up for procedure searches, builds trust with results, and earns the consultation.

Unbelievably Fast

Launch in 7 days with consultation booking active. Fast execution beats slow agencies taking 3+ months.

Responsive

Procedure research happens privately on phones. Mobile galleries and virtual consultations protect privacy for cosmetic surgery shoppers.

SEO-Obsessed

Built for procedure-specific searches with medical schema and results imagery. Cosmetic surgery SEO is procedure-focused. We optimize for specific treatment queries.

Simple, Unlimited Edits

Add procedure results, update consultation availability, or feature new techniques. 72-hour turnaround keeps results gallery and offerings current.

How Our Pricing Works

Why pay too much for your plastic surgeons web designer?

There is nothing to finance here. Your plastic surgery website costs $0 to build, then $95 a month for everything after that. The site is yours from the first month, not after two years of payments. Start booking consultations on day one, and cancel any month you like.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions about plastic surgeons web design

Everything you want to know about getting a website built for your plastic surgery practice.

Should I show plastic surgery prices on my website?

Show price ranges by procedure. 'Breast augmentation $6,000-8,000,' 'Rhinoplasty $8,000-12,000.' Transparency filters serious prospects.

Do I need extensive before/after galleries?

Absolutely. With signed consent, show comprehensive galleries organized by procedure. Your gallery is your most powerful marketing tool.

Should I offer virtual consultations?

Yes. Many patients research from out of town or want initial consultations from home. Virtual consults expand your reach.

What builds trust on a plastic surgery website?

Board certification, before/after galleries, detailed procedure explanations, patient testimonials, and realistic expectations.

Do I need recovery timelines on my website?

Absolutely. Patients want to know how long they'll be out of work. Detailed recovery guides by procedure set realistic expectations.

How important is mobile for plastic surgery websites?

Very important. Prospective patients research surgeons on phones during downtime and compare before/afters.

How do I compete with big plastic surgery groups?

Emphasize that one surgeon performs all procedures, not rotating doctors. Continuity beats variety.

Should I show financing options prominently?

Absolutely. Plastic surgery is expensive. 'CareCredit accepted' or 'Monthly payments from $X' removes price objections.

Do I need virtual consultations for plastic surgery?

Yes. Many patients travel for surgery or want initial consultations from home. Virtual consults expand your geographic reach.

How many before/after photos should I show?

Extensive galleries organized by procedure. 20+ results per procedure type minimum. More examples close more consultations.
