51 five-star reviews don't happen by accident. Here's the story.
We have already built for Calgary businesses. Take a look at the work and see if it is the right fit for yours.
I sampled 6,507 Calgary businesses across 46 industries, then audited the 5,017 websites among them. Here is where the score comes from, what those sites run on, and where the points are going.
72/100
Grade C, tied 11th of 24 cities I audited
The score is ten weighted checks, ranked here by what each one costs. The biggest single loss is page speed, at 6.6 of its 15 points. Longer bar, more points left on the table.
28 points of 100 left on the table. Track length is the check's weight, so a five-point check can never cost what a fifteen-point one does. Each check is averaged across the 46 markets, the same way the score itself is built, so these ten bars add back to the 72 above. The table at the foot of this section pools by sample size instead, which answers a different question and lands a little differently. Weights are on the methodology page.
I can tell a franchise or chain location from an independent, so here are both, on the checks where they split hardest. The widest gap is analytics: 54% of independents against 82% of chains.
Scale runs 0 to 100%. Only the checks where both groups were measured the same way are comparable, so speed and the meta checks sit this one out.
The platform behind each of the 5,017 homepages I audited, where I could identify one.
A platform was identified on 74% of audited sites. The rest are hand-built or run something the fingerprinting misses, and a site can match more than one, so these do not sum to 100%.
Every rate above has its own denominator. This is where they come from, out of the 20,507 Calgary businesses in my listings census.
Of the sites that never made it into the audit, 429 would not load, 268 blocked me, and 57 turned out to be a social profile rather than a website. 601 of the businesses sampled are chain or franchise locations. Full method on the methodology page.

Six things that separate a great web design experience from a frustrating one.
Low monthly payments don't mean a lower quality site. The build quality is the same regardless of how you pay.
We benchmark speed before and after launch so you have real numbers, not just our word for it.
Small screens don't mean a stripped-down experience. Every feature of your site works exactly the same on mobile.
Internal linking, URL structure, and heading hierarchy are all set up correctly from the start.
Our 3-day turnaround keeps your site accurate and current so you can focus on running your business instead.
We remember the details of your business because we stay close to every client. You're never starting from scratch.
Every one of these came from a real client who hired us. Read them and see why we're different.

A Calgary agency will quote you $3,000 to $30,000+ to build a site, and freelancers run $500 to $10,000+, per WebFX's pricing research. That usually doesn't include ongoing hosting or support. We charge $95 a month, and that covers everything: design, hosting, maintenance, security, and monthly reporting. The site is yours from the very first month. It's a better deal for small businesses that need a great website but can't justify a large capital expense.
Working with a Calgary web designer has its appeal, but proximity doesn't guarantee quality or accountability. Plenty of businesses hire web design remotely now, and the work travels just fine. What you need is a designer who understands small business, communicates clearly, and is still reachable after the project ends. RapidWebLaunch works with businesses in Calgary and across North America. Every client gets a direct line to me, the founder, transparent flat-rate pricing, and a site that's actively maintained every month.
Freelancers offer a direct relationship and lower cost, but availability and post-launch support are genuine risks. Calgary agencies offer structure but price themselves out of reach for most small businesses. The real answer is to find a provider that combines the accountability of direct founder access with the reliability of a proper support model. That's the gap RapidWebLaunch fills: one person, one price, ongoing maintenance included, no contract.
Fewer than you'd guess. Of the 6,507 Calgary businesses I sampled for my Web Presence Index, 11% have no website at all, while 88.7% have one, ahead of 82.6% nationally (2nd of 24 among the cities I audited). Social media profiles and directory listings aren't a substitute. A proper website you own and control is still the foundation of any credible online presence.
Almost always yes. 97% of consumers read reviews for local businesses, and their most likely next step after reading positive ones is visiting your website, per BrightLocal's 2026 consumer survey. In my own audit, 92.0% of the Calgary businesses I sampled have Google reviews, ahead of 88.3% nationally, so that traffic is up for grabs. One extra job a month more than covers the cost of a professional website.
A typical small business website takes a freelancer 4 to 8 weeks to deliver and an agency 8 to 16 weeks. At RapidWebLaunch, the average is 1 week. That kind of speed is only possible with a lean, direct process. No kickoff decks. No multi-round approval cycles. No account managers. You tell me what your business does and what you need, and I build it. The result is a professional, custom website live in days rather than months.
You can get traffic without SEO through paid ads, social media, and word of mouth. But organic search is the biggest traffic channel available to most small businesses, driving just over half of all trackable web traffic in BrightEdge's channel research. And unlike paid ads, organic traffic doesn't stop when your budget runs out. A website gives you the asset. SEO gives it visibility. Most small business owners eventually realize they need both.
It depends on what's broken. If the structure is solid but the design looks dated, a refresh might be enough. If the site is slow, not mobile-friendly, or built on an outdated platform, a full redesign is the better path. For reference, the average Calgary site I audited scores 56 for mobile speed, against 58 across everything I audited. Stanford's Web Credibility Project found people judge a site's credibility partly on its design, so a dated look works against you even when the content is accurate. The easiest way to know what you're dealing with is a free website audit from RapidWebLaunch at rapidweblaunch.com/resources/website-audits.
We built this business on being straightforward. No complicated agreements, no surprise charges, no chasing down support tickets. Patrick's video explains the whole thing in plain English.
