How to disable comments in Wordpress?

Turning off comments on your WordPress site? Follow these steps to easily disable comments site-wide or on individual posts:

Disabling Comments Site-Wide

1. Go to Your Dashboard: Log in to your WordPress admin area.

2. Navigate to Settings: Click on ‘Settings’ and then select ‘Discussion’.

3. Adjust Comment Settings: Turn off the ‘Allow people to post comments on new articles’. This disables comments for all future posts. For existing posts, follow the next steps.

4. Bulk Edit Existing Posts: Go to ‘Posts’ > ‘All Posts’. Click the checkbox at the top to select all posts, choose ‘Edit’ from the ‘Bulk Actions’ dropdown, then click ‘Apply’.

Disabling Comments on Individual Posts

1. Edit Post: Open the post where you want to disable comments.

2. Find Discussion Box: Scroll down to the ‘Discussion’ box. If it’s not visible, click on ‘Screen Options’ at the top and make sure ‘Discussion’ is checked.
